The Year of Boss Women: Suit up

img_1147.jpg

I love me a good suit, but moreover, I love the people behind them! SUIT UP!Who said male suits were just for men? Fun fact: when I was younger I said to myself..." self, what job requires you to wear suits...whatever job that may be..pick that one." And that my friends is how I decided I wanted to work in NYC for a corporation that allows me to wear fashion suits daily (ehem cue Devil Wears Prada)!A good suit provokes a boss mentality! I can't help but feel great in one! And I am loving the new trend of women in suits. Just solidifying the era of WOMEN! We are all great, we all have something great to do, whether you're in a suit or not, but I mean the suit does take it to the next level! What are your thoughts on women wearing suits? True & Co. The comfort bra

Who even invented bras? I'll be honest with you, I'm not the biggest fan of wearing them but thankfully True&Co creates bras with women's needs and wants in mind. Comfort, shape and lasting power! Read more for the details.

Wearing a bra has to be one of the most necessary discomforts in life. It does so much for your look, your posture and modesty of course, but they're really not that comfy. The girls like to be free! I vowed to myself this year to find more bras that are comfortable & take care of them. I'm definitely a culprit of stretching out my bras and washing them with my jeans.

True&Co a female- run company creates undergarments that are not only sassy but easy to wear! I'm a big fan out the true body collection. Seamless bras with support that make you feel like your free balling all day long. I could sleep in this bra without any issues! Their unique design gives me just the right amount of lift and shape so it doesn't look like I'm wearing a sports bra. They also come in great colors so they can easily be used as a crop top when needed.

Being fancy should be an everyday occasion but I’d probably run out of things to wear. Thankfully holiday parties are just in the month of December. Need ideas for your look? Keep reading to find out what to wear to a holiday party!Whether it’s a work party, family event or gala. I’m giving you 3 different looks that you can wear during the holidays! The Holiday PartyGlitter works for any holiday party! The way it shimmers is instantly festive during this season! I paired a cute sequined mini dress with a shimmery black top, (long sleeves for warmth) and shiny black pumps! Added a waist belt for shape and I’m ready to go!The Holiday GalaI love me a good gown, but a red gown? That takes the cake! Red screams Christmas to me! It’s just that color that speaks to the season. This Elizabeth & James gown is actually on backwards, haha. I thought the knotted detail would go better to the back, plus is was making me look preggers! The New Years Eve EventI am a firm believer that white should not be worn after Labor Day but I make an exception during the holidays! This lovely mini dress from Asos is just what you’ll need to step into the New year! It’s sexy but classy and comfortable too!Are you ready for your holiday party ? Which look would you rock? The Must Have Coats for Winter

Baby, it's colddddddddd, outside! If I had to pick my least favorite season it would most certainly be winter. I like snow, but when it's not on the ground, I like cold air when I'm in the burning heat, and I like being layered up when it looks cute! All of the things winter requires I never truly love, but I will same there are some winter trendy coats that I've been feeling this season! Keep reading to see the must-have coats this winter!Let's start with the one that I hated as a kid because mine were always overwhelmingly huge one me.

The Puffer Coat

We've seen the puffer coat trend make a huge entrance this fall/winter season! In bold colors such as blue, red, pink and more! What I most about this trend is how this coat is comfy, and an instant eye-catcher!

The Statement Coat

Everyone needs a statement coat in their closet. Whether that statement is printed or color-blocked, it's a must have for me! This doesn't have to be an everyday coat, actually I find that wearing statement coats daily takes the unfff out of them! It just has to be a coat that you whip out when you're ready to make a....statement, haha!

The Shining Coat

Futuristic was never my style, but when it comes to these coats that's the only vibe I get and I adore it! I wore this coat in NYC in the rain and didn't have to worry about it one bit. The raindrops just swiftly glided off and onto the ground. Practical & Fashionable—two words I live by!What's your favorite coat trend this year? Do you have any of these must-haves in your closet? How to style a belt bag

My most hated accessory would have to be BAGS! They get in the way, they're often super heavy and they constrict me. Well, I've finally found the type of bag that was invented me—belt bag. Keep reading to see how I style belt bags! What I love most about this trend, is at some point everyone can appreciate it. Even my mother, who doesn't carry bags smaller than the size of our house so that she can fit all the necessary items it in (I use the word "necessary" loosely) thought that my belt bag was cute and convenient. They work as an everyday bag for gals like me, OR as a purse for a vacation/theme park! Whatever the reason or use of them, they are always fashionable!

How to style belt bags:

  • Crossbody aka across your shoulder - This is my ultimate favorite way to wear belt bags. It is easily accessible, close to me (fear of getting pickpocketed) AND it doesn't get in the way when I have to hug someone. I also never need to take it off because it's positioned in a way that it doesn't interfere with my movements! Dress up OR down. (Hint: Shorten strap on a mini crossbody bag to make it a belt bag ↓) BAG: Furla
  • Fanny pack - I don't rock my bags this way often but more recently I am switching it up. When wearing a belt bag like a fanny pack make sure it's not too low (bad example here). This is also a more casual/sporty approach to a belt bag.
  • Waist/corset belt - Need a corset belt? Grab your belt bag. I find this position for the bag to bring similar comfort as a crossbody until the belt notch is too tight. What I will say I love about styling the bag this way is that it is classy and simple. It is the dressier part to the fanny pack style. BAG: See by Chloe
